Developing Innovators is more than just a summer time passion for us at Galileo Learning. Year-round we work to create opportunities for the community to build their skills as visionary and courageous actors in the world.
This year, we are practicing our own process of innovation collaboration by designing and creating a new way to connect families between summers!
Join us for the inaugural Galileo Day
at the Tech Interactive – Downtown San Jose
Saturday February 1st, 2020 10am-4pm
Galileo Day at The Tech will showcase Galileo’s joyful and magical camp spirit inside an environment in which it thrives – The Tech Interactive.
The Tech Interactive is a family-friendly science and technology center in the heart of downtown San Jose. The Tech is a world leader in the creation of immersive STEAM education resources to develop the next generation of problem-solvers locally, nationally and globally.
They are driven by their mission: to inspire the innovator in everyone. Sound familiar? For over 15 years, Galileo and The Tech Interactive have partnered in innumerable ways to ignite passionate innovators throughout the South Bay Area and beyond!
This year, we are collaborating in a brand new way, hosting an event to give communities a chance to taste the unique flavor of Galileo Camps inside of The Tech. Galileo Day at The Tech will be filled to the brim with insanely cool hands-on exhibits, experimental labs and design challenge experiences for all.
In addition to the exclusive resources that The Tech’s galleries have to offer, we will feature interactive science and arts activities from Galileo’s very own curriculum archives, facilitated by our friendly and highly experienced staffers.
Join us at 10:30am for a welcome ceremony to experience the magic of the rubber chicken and a kick off to an amazing day of innovation lead by Jamie Solomon, Program Director for Summer Camps at The Tech Interactive, and a handful of Galileo Bay Area Camp Directors! From engineering earthquake proof structures to DIY stamps to classic camp crafts, Galileo Day at The Tech will bring joy for the whole family. An amazing set of family-friendly things to do on a winter Saturday.
