What You'll Do

Unleash your entrepreneurial spirit and make ready-to-sell art in this rewarding weeklong class. Use digital design program Pixlr E to create eye-catching photos and drawings, then transform them into a suite of custom products to sell in your own virtual Society6* shop.

Master Pixlr E’s text, shape and drawing tools as you design a distinctive logo and banner for your own virtual storefront. Get familiar with photo editing for a wall clock to sell in your shop. BE REFLECTIVE as you adjust color and contrast to make the numerals pop against its photographic face. Learn to scan and edit original artwork and transform it into clean, saleable stickers. Brainstorm clever-phrase-adorned products with your fellow artists, then level up their look with gradients and patterns before adding them to your store. BE VISIONARY by designing a one-of-a-kind, marketable design that that blends a personal interest with a popular trend.

Note: This weeklong class is more than innovation-igniting projects—it’s an immersive experience full of delightful details, including interactive games, silly traditions and snacks (see Materials, below) designed to build community, bolster confidence and deliver loads of camp-away-from-camp fun.

Kids will have ongoing access to their Pixlr E and Society6 accounts so they can keep creating digital art and selling custom products after class. Online sales are not guaranteed, but if any of their products are sold, they will earn money.
