Order up! Design your own restaurant—and the food to go in it—in this invitingly innovative weeklong class. Hone your paper and cardboard crafting skills as you whip up a trio of tasty dishes, a cool food storage solution and a mini 3D version of your original restaurant.
Serve dessert first as you craft a paper-bag waffle cone and BE VISIONARY to fill it with dyed-paper “scoops” in flavors you invent yourself. BE DETERMINED to learn tricky paper cutting and weaving techniques, then get cooking with two kinds of pie: a pizza covered with tomato sauce, cheese and made-to-order toppings, and dessert pie with sweet, swappable fillings nestled under a lattice crust. Fashion a spot to store your eatery’s ingredients with a three-dimensional fridge freezer outfitted with custom compartments. Complete your vision with a miniature model of your restaurant, complete with folded-paper features and themed decorations to welcome hungry diners.
Note: This weeklong class is more than just innovation-igniting projects—it’s an immersive experience full of delightful details, including interactive games, silly traditions, snacks (see Materials, below) and more! designed to build community, bolster confidence and deliver loads of camp-away-from-camp fun.
