There are lots of reasons to love coloring. Coloring can help kids improve their fine motor skills, develop spatial awareness, learn color awareness and recognition, practice creative self-expression, and more. Motivated the opportunity to practice mindfulness, reduce anxiety, and find focus, adults are increasingly getting in on the action, too. Plus, who doesn’t love a little rainbow in their day?
At the heart of Galileo’s mission is the belief that kids can envision and create a better world. When kids see themselves as innovators—as actors in the world rather than as recipients of circumstance—they’re happier, more creative, more confident, and more equipped to be the change.
With that in mind, innovators of all ages are invited to participate in the Galileo Coloring Contest to celebrate National Coloring Book Day!
What You Could Win
The colorer with the most votes will receive a copy of The Zoom, Fly, Bolt, Blast STEAM Handbook—a $23 value—featuring 18 innovative projects for kids.
How to Enter
Step 1:
Download the coloring page here.
Step 2:
Print out the coloring page and break out the art supplies. No printer? No problem! Participants are welcome to color digitally, like with the markup feature on a tablet.
Step 3:
Submit your creation by August 9, 2020 by sharing it on Instagram, either as a post or as a story, and tagging @galileocamps. Kids might want to ask a grown-up to share using their Instagram account.
