Creating accessible programming has been deeply rooted in Galileo’s DNA from day one. Now, more than ever, equity needs our attention and efforts. Disparities in education continue to widen, particularly due to the disproportionate impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on lower income communities.

We’re heartened to outline how we’re factoring this into the perks we are offering staff this year, including the opportunities to help us provide innovative, imagination-fueling camp experiences to kids who may not otherwise be able to get it.

Spoiler alert: in addition to everything detailed below, any Galileo staff member—across summer, Camp Director, or HQ teams—can directly impact greater educational equity by prioritizing Innovation for All scholarship nominations for anyone they know!

 

All Program Staff

  • A free week of camp for your own child
  • 50% off additional summer camp sessions for your child(ren)- That’s an average of $250 savings per week!
  • $50 Friends and Family Discount for those you love
  • Priority nomination for Innovation for All (financial assistance) scholarship for anyone you know*

If you are considering a summer role at one of a few select Bay Area* sites, then you are also eligible for the perks below:

  • Travel stipend for those who drive 15+ miles each way
  • Free weeks of camp for your children for every week you work (including extended care)

HQ Seasonal Staff

If you’re a camp staffer, and ready to request redemption on any perk listed above, you can do so by submitting a request here. Travel stipend requests should be communicated to your CDs directly, during each week of camp that you work. If you are an HQ staffer or Camp Director, please email the Customer Service team directly.
