A peek at the early favorites across every age group

A peek at the early favorites across every age group

With dozens of hands-on projects across every age group, there’s no single “right” favorite at Camp Galileo. Every week offers something a little different, from building and designing to storytelling, animating and inventing.

But as families begin planning ahead, a few early favorites are starting to emerge. Below, you’ll find the projects that are rising to the top so far for each age group, based on enrollments to date.

Think of this as a little inspiration for what your camper might love next.

Jump to your camper’s age group:

Nebula (K–1): Mission to the Moon 🚀

Why families love it:
Blast off on an innovative adventure to infinity and beyond. In Mission to the Moon, campers design a wearable jetpack, build a handcart for collecting moon rocks and launch a high-flying rubber band rocket. It’s imaginative, tactile and full of joyful engineering, making it a favorite for young makers who love to build, pretend and explore all at once.

Star (2–3): Tropical Rainforest Trek 🦜🌿

Why families love it:
This week invites campers to explore the wonders of the Amazon rainforest by blending art and engineering. Campers design vibrant prints for tropical bird wings, then engineer a linkage system to animate a lively forest scene. It’s a beautiful mix of creativity, mechanics and storytelling that lets kids bring nature to life.

Supernova (4–5): Animal Bot Builders 🤖🦁

Why families love it:
Animal Bot Builders lets imagination run wild. Campers build a custom cardboard animal with 3D features and textured details, then add a pneumatic system and electric motor to make their creation move. It’s equal parts engineering and creative design, and a huge hit for kids who love combining art with hands-on mechanics.

Meteor (6–8): Remote Controlled Bots 🎮🤖

Why families love it:
In this immersive build, campers invent an original robot character, sculpt custom features and outfit it with personality, then wire it with a motor and RC transmitter so it can tackle games, obstacle courses and challenges. It’s a perfect blend of technical skill, problem-solving and creative expression for older campers ready for a deeper engineering experience.

The real magic? Kids don’t just pick one.

Each week at camp offers a totally different kind of experience. That’s why families who enroll in multiple weeks see kids grow more confident, more curious, and more willing to try new things over time.
