Meet Some Of Our Returning Camp Directors for Summer 2026

We’re already gearing up for an incredible season, and one of the things we’re most excited about? The inspiring leaders returning to guide our campers next summer. So far, more than 50 Camp Directors are coming back for Summer 2026! Today, we’re spotlighting just a few of them, giving you a glimpse into the passion, creativity and pure camp joy they bring to their communities.

Here’s what Jennifer, Bobby and Dinah have been up to, and what they’re most excited for in the year ahead.

🌟 Jennifer Gonzalez – Highlands Ranch

Favorite Camp Galileo Memory
Jennifer’s favorite moments from Summer 2025 were all about the games, and not just because they’re fun. “To me, they’re so much more than just games—they help build the culture and spirit of camp,” she shared. “We always have a blast!”
(And yes, she sent us a fabulous photo to prove it.)

Off-Season Adventures
When she’s not leading camp magic, Jennifer serves as a multilingual education leader at a school, where she’s passionate about teaching and leading with integrity. Outside of work, life is filled with adventure thanks to her energetic two-year-old—and big news: her family is excited to welcome a baby girl soon!

Looking Ahead to Summer 2026
Jennifer says, “I can’t wait to see all my returning campers—Summer 2026 will mark my fifth year with Galileo! I’m also looking forward to sharing the Galileo joy with new campers and continuing to lead an incredible camp alongside our beloved mascot, Goldie Nugget the rubber chicken!🐔

🌈 Bobby Gorelick – Saratoga

Favorite Camp Galileo Memory
For Bobby, Summer 2025 was filled with unforgettable moments—like an epic all-camp egg scavenger hunt, where campers collaborated, problem-solved, and supported one another in search of magical treasures.

Another standout? A day the Saratoga staff walked into the office to find total chaos—markers everywhere, clues scattered about, and clear evidence of…a unicorn.

With creativity and teamwork, the staff followed the trail, discovering items like unicorn goggles, capes, and tutus along the way. Ultimately, they “found” the elusive unicorn and celebrated with magical marshmallow treats. Pure Galileo whimsy!

Off-Season Adventures
Bobby is currently in New Orleans completing his degree in Philosophy, Cognitive Science, and Strategic Leadership at Tulane University. His studies focus on the philosophy and practical applications of AI, and he works closely with charter schools to ethically integrate AI into curriculum. His mission? Ensuring students and educators have equitable access to AI literacy so the next generation can lead and innovate responsibly.

Looking Ahead to Summer 2026
Bobby says, “This will be my 6th year returning to Galileo, and 2nd as a Camp Director at our Saratoga site. I am SO excited to see familiar faces and returning campers! The families at Galileo are so important and I cannot wait to reconnect with some families and staffers. And of course, I am super excited to welcome everyone new to our magical community at Saratoga Camp G.” Saratoga, prepare for more magic!

🐣 Dinah Otovo – Menlo Park

Favorite Camp Galileo Memory
Dinah’s standout memory from last summer? Celebrating the cowboy-themed first birthday of Sprinkles, the camp chicken. Picture this: a DJ, cake, party favors and special guests “flying in from Hawaii” to sing happy birthday. That’s the kind of pure joy you can only find at Camp Galileo.

Off-Season Adventures
During the school year, Dinah teaches 2nd grade and brings her love of learning to an after-school program where she teaches Galileo curriculum. She’s also enjoying the sweetness of newlywed life!

Looking Ahead to Summer 2026
Dinah can’t wait to bring more camp magic to life with her amazing team—and to create another summer full of joy, creativity and connection.
