GA-LI-LEEE-OOOO! Hello All! Get ready for an exciting and extraordinary journey with Abbie Vilar at the helm for her 1st year leading Camp Galileo San Carlos/Belmont! Abbie has spent over 5 years with Camp Galileo across multiple Bay Area sites and is ready to share her personal camp vision with you all. With a Masters Degree in Education from Alder Graduate School of Education, Abbie infuses her passion and expertise into every aspect of camp life. Beyond the summer months, she excels as a High School history teacher and mentor here in the Bay Area, seamlessly managing her core values that all students should feel empowered, valued and heard, and are experiencing joy in the classroom. During her downtime, Abbie enjoys being at the beach at any time of the year, having a great cup of coffee with a pastry, perfecting her life soundtrack playlist, spending time with her fur babies - Rockie & Heihei - and surrounding herself with her laughter, family & close friends, and snacks.
