What You'll Do

Put your imagination to the spine-tingling test with your own ferociously fun monster puppet. Investigate innovative paper printing and construction techniques to craft your movable monster, build background scenery and rehearse for its on-stage debut.

You’ll start by practicing new printing methods, making personalized paper to build and embellish your design throughout the week. BE DETERMINED as you spend midweek crafting a stable body, strong head and monstrous mouth, complete with teeth and a handle to open it. Explore 3D paper forms, including tubes, cones and cubes, then BE VISIONARY in using them to add appendages to your monster and make detailed, dimensional stage scenery. At the end of the week, pick up some performance pro tips and get your one-of-a-kind creation ready to scare up applause in a class-wide puppet show.

Note: This weeklong class is more than an innovation-igniting project—it’s an immersive experience full of delightful details, including interactive games, silly traditions, stories and snacks* designed to build community, bolster confidence and deliver loads of camp-away-from-camp fun.

* Please have a snack and drink ready for your child approximately one hour into class.
