What You'll Do

Get ready for a roaringly good time in this weeklong dinosaur adventure. Travel into the past to meet some prehistoric pals as you practice paper crafting and printing skills to create a whole dino household, including a realistically textured grownup, hatching eggs and predator-protected nest.

Start with a paper printing project, using everyday objects to stamp feathery or scaly skin patterns and a textured nest base. Learn to fold your printed paper to fashion a fiercely protective adult dino with pointy teeth, spikes or horns. BE DETERMINED as you take steps to guard your nest, fortifying the walls against the force of a mighty landslide and crafting tissue-paper plants to camouflage it—and the eggs inside—from hungry predators. BE VISIONARY to draw your baby dinosaur ideas into reality, then cover them with “cracking” paper pockets that hatch open to reveal your egg inhabitants.

Note: This weeklong class is more than just innovation-igniting projects—it’s an immersive experience full of delightful details, including interactive games, silly traditions, snacks (see Materials, below) and dress-up days designed to build community, bolster confidence and deliver loads of camp-away-from-camp fun.
